Sleep Better

Dr.Morawetz
How quickly is your sleep likely to improve?

Many people who have learned to sleep significantly better say that during the first
4-6 weeks after they started using the program, their sleep was no better than before.
Especially if they were long-term users of medication, their sleep sometimes got worse
before it got better. This is normal and to be expected. Unlearning old habits and
learning better ones takes time! When your sleep has been disturbed for months or
years, you do not change the old habits and reset your clock in a week or two. It is
during those first few weeks when you are not seeing any improvement that you will
need to keep reminding yourself:

'I don’t expect to be seeing any improvement yet. This is normal. I’ll just stick at
the program for the full 4-6 weeks. I do expect that I will see significant improvement
once the 4-6 weeks are over'.

For some examples of how the process of
improvement takes place, see some of the
case studies.
